In-Person Orientation: October 11 | October 13 | October 14
Virtual Orientation: Check go.umd.edu/ifad to add the asynchronous, virtual orientation to your ELMS. This virtual orientation will need to be completed before October 17.
It is required to complete the orientation in order to have access to the application.

"Hosts" can live and work anywhere nationally and internationally. This reimagined program takes the “cold calling” out of informational interviews and networking for students! How do students add/change the SOCY major?
1.Students must complete the online major workshop PowerPoint presentation in the shared folder, and access this same folder to obtain the corresponding change/addition of major form with appropriate signatures and stamp, as well as the included major information forms.

2.Students then attend the Academic Planning Workshop online at: http://www.bsosworkshops.umd.edu/
3. Students will submit the change/addition of major form with a completed academic-plan online to the bsosmajorchange@umd.edu
4. Major change or addition of second major may take approximately 15 business days to process.
5. Students on academic probation/dismissal and other designated student populations will be required to schedule an appointment with a BSOS advisor to process the major change.
