About JSI:
For over 40 years, John Snow, Inc. (JSI) has provided high-quality technical and managerial assistance to public health programs worldwide. JSI is deeply committed to improving the health of individuals and communities. We work in partnership with governments, organizations, and host-country experts to improve quality, access and equity of health systems. We collaborate with government agencies, the private sector, and local nonprofit and civil society organizations to achieve change in communities and health systems.

The JSI Center for Health Information, Monitoring and Evaluation (CHIME) is a technical assistance, research, and knowledge group within JSI dedicated to improving the quality of health information and increasing evidence-based decision making in the health sector. CHIME responds to the growing demand for information-driven health services planning and management. The Center provides assistance and resources within JSI and to other organizations to strengthen collection and use of high-quality data to improve health program and system performance. It also works to coordinate JSI resources and experience in research, monitoring, and evaluation (RM&E) to ensure access among RM&E and program staff to essential tools, techniques, and peer support.

About the position:
CHIME is seeking a summer Business Operations intern to provide operational support for its Center-managed projects. The intern will contribute to new business development and project management tasks to prepare students for careers in nonprofit administration and global health.

The intern will engage with staff from various technical areas of expertise across the organization, learn about the opportunities and challenges in working with institutional partners, funders, governments, etc. to promote data-driven decision making, and build skills in strategy, operations, program planning, reporting, and financial management. This will be a paid, 40 hour per week internship.
