Defense Intelligence Agency: Employer Networking Site Visit

The Defense Intelligence Agency is inviting current UMD students who have an interest in learning more about their organization to visit their Washington, DC offices. The OFF CAMPUS SITE VISIT will include an overview of the agency’s mission and how it supports other agencies. Additional information will be shared regarding the DIA’s student internship program, skills that make applicants competitive and application tips. This annual 3-day event provides students an opportunity to meet face-to-face with employers to discuss internship as well as full-time and part-time employment opportunities. Children’s National Medical Center - Clinical Research Academic Associate

2014 Nordstrom Management Internship Program
Students may apply to the program by visiting careers.nordstrom.com as early as December 1, 2013.
This program will run approximately 9-weeks (June 3, 2014 through July 31, 2014.)  It provides training and mentoring in the exciting world of fashion. And — upon successful complete of the program — placement into assistant manager or salesperson positions, depending on availability and preferences.

The Office of Congressman Rick Larsen
Full-Time Intern (Winter)
The Office of Congressman Rick Larsen (D?WA?02) is seeking to hire a full-time intern in the Washington, DC office for the winter. Candidates should have an interest in and knowledge of the legislative process and American political system, possess excellent communication and writing skills, and be able to work independently.
Interns play an important role in the congressional office, and perform tasks that make the legislative process work. They will be responsible for projects such as researching and writing memos, assisting legislative staff in committee hearings, working with federal agencies, and fielding constituent phone calls and other requests. Other duties include leading Capitol tours and providing staff with general office support. During their term, interns are encouraged to attend briefings and committee hearings of personal interest.

Creative Services is The Heritage Foundation’s in-house graphic design shop, handling the design, layout, and production of all of heritage’s print materials.
Creative Services works closely with many departments around the building to produce engaging and impactful designs that promote the work of our policy teams and communications, marketing, and outreach efforts.
The Creative Services intern will work closely with other members of the graphic design team to design print products and layout templated print materials. the intern will be involved in the entire design process from conceptualization of a design idea through print production.
