On Tuesday, September 10, 2019, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET, join the National Research Center on Hispanic Children & Families for a data visualization training webinar. Data visualization experts from the National Research Center on Hispanic Children & Families and NORC at the University of Chicago will present on best practices for creating graphics from survey and administrative data. Graphics enable users to examine trends, isolate discrepancies, and identify patterns that might otherwise be overlooked using traditional data presentation methods. Learn more about various approaches to presenting data in more visually appealing ways and enhancing the accessibility of your findings. This web-based training will provide an introduction into best practices of data visualization and showcase examples with increasing complexity using Excel, Tableau, R, ArcGIS, Q GIS, and MapInfo Professional, among other tools. Attendees will have access to a supplementary handout that will enable them to build upon the skills learned and explore new research questions focused on Hispanic families and children.
