Defense Intelligence Agency: Employer Networking Site Visit 
Friday, February 28, 2014 • 8:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Location: Off-Campus
The Defense Intelligence Agency is inviting current UMD students who have an interest in learning more about their organization to visit their Washington, DC offices. The OFF CAMPUS SITE VISIT will include an overview of the agency’s mission and how it supports other agencies. Additional information will be shared regarding the DIA’s student internship program, skills that make applicants competitive and application tips. There are a limited number of seats available for this opportunity so RSVP now to express interest. SAVE THE DATE: Spring Career & Internship Fair

12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Location: Adele H. Stamp Student Union
This annual 3-day event provides students an opportunity to meet face-to-face with employers to discuss internship as well as full-time and part-time employment opportunities. Each day has different employers so students are encouraged to plan ahead. Attendees should dress professionally and bring multiple copies of resumes. No preregistration is necessary.
Students will be able to view a list of all registered employers on Careers4Terps in the upcoming weeks!

Children’s National Medical Center - Clinical Research Academic Associate
Spring 2014 Submission Deadline: December 15, 2013
Program Begins: January 13, 2014
The program is meant to represent a unique opportunity for students to directly participate in the performance of clinical research, while also observing overall ED operations and interacting with physicians, nurses, and other health care personnel.

2014 Nordstrom Management Internship Program
Students may apply to the program by visiting careers.nordstrom.com as early as December 1, 2013.
This program will run approximately 9-weeks (June 3, 2014 through July 31, 2014.)  It provides training and mentoring in the exciting world of fashion. And — upon successful complete of the program — placement into assistant manager or salesperson positions, depending on availability and preferences.

Newport News Shipbuilding 2014 Summer Internship Program
Newport News Shipbuilding is now accepting applications online for the 2014 Summer Internship Program! The online application will be available NOW through January 31st.

This year, NNS will again offer two unique internship opportunities:
1. Pipeline Internship Program
  • For college students enrolled in Bachelor or Master's degree programs in the following areas: Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
2. Student Development Program
  • For college students enrolled in Bachelor or Master's degree programs in the following areas: Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Law, or Materials Science. Please Note: Only Environmental Engineering candidates accepted. All other Engineering majors should apply to the Pipeline Internship Program.
