This in-person event provides a unique opportunity for graduate schools and other law programs to meet face to face with students and alumni considering law school. No registration is needed but you can RSVP on C4T and get a reminder the day before. The University of Maryland's Pre-Law Advising Office within Letters and Sciences is partnering with the University Career Center & The President's Promise to present this Law School Fair. This event is open to University of Maryland, College Park students & alumni.

Fall Internships Available!!

ATTENTION: Any students or recent graduates still looking for a Fall internship, The National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) has extended its Paid Fall Internship Program application deadline Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 11:59pm ET! All of our intern positions include a stipend, and we are excited to be offering our program in-person (College Park, MD) again come the fall.

Paid Research Opportunity for SOCY students

Interested in a paid Research Position?  

You may be a candidate for an Undergraduate Research Assistantship (URA) to work on a fully funded research project with Sociology Professor Mansoor Moaddel. Dr. Moaddel studies religion, ideology, political conflict, revolution and social change. His work currently addresses the causes and consequences of human values.

The URA is required to have excellent research skills, the ability to use SPSS and exceptional writing skills. 

Please let me know if you are interested in this paid assistantship opportunity. In your statement of interest (1-3 paragraphs), please include your familiarity with SPSS, and describe any previous research projects you have worked on (pre existing projects (faculty directed) or self-initiated (202/400-level research courses included)) as soon as possible, first preference will go to those who submit all requested materials on or before February 10th.

The University Career Center is hosting a Just In Time Meetup on May 6, 2022. This is a networking event where students, soon to be graduates, and recent graduates can explore internships and full-time opportunities before summer break! This event will take place virtually and use the following format: 12:00 - 12:10 PM, Office/Organization Overviews and 12:20 - 2:00 PM, Students will rotate to employer breakout rooms to network and ask questions.
