Networking Is NOT a Four Letter Word

We all know the buzz word…. NETWORKING, but how does one network? Where and when are the opportunities to talk to professionals in your field? Learn how to promote yourself and build your network of contacts. Discover how to find opportunities to meet potential employers and professionals in your field at career & internship fairs, online, through contacts and informational interviews. Employers participate in our daily rotation by providing one-on-one career advice to students/alumni on issues ranging from résumé assistance to answering the question "how do I break into your field?". Child Family Health International: Employer Networking Sessions

Event Details: CFHI - 25 Global Health Programs in 6 Countries - www.cfhi.org
Child Family Health International (CFHI) is a nonprofit recognized by the United Nations that offers socially responsible Global Health Internships for students of all levels interested in health or medicine. They will discuss and take questions on their global health programs abroad and scholarship opportunities, application process, and what to expect on a CFHI program. Through CFHI participants go on 4-16 week placements alongside local healthcare professionals in underserved communities. Participants rotate through clinics and public health facilities, attend health lectures, and become immersed in the healthcare system of the community. The Development Intern will be responsible for assisting the Director of Development in developing, implementing, and monitoring Pathways DC's fundraising initiatives to enhance and promote the organization's funding base.

The Development Intern will be responsible for the following duties:
•Performing donor research and thinking creatively to identify donor prospects through internal and external sources 
•Writing newsletter and website articles 
•Developing and maintaining Pathways DC's social media presence through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. 
•Gift processing and acknowledgments 
•Coordinating event logistics 
•Developing ongoing communications to prospective and current donors; 
•Maintaining records and database information on prospective, past, and current donors 
•Assisting the Director of Development with developing and implementing the strategic development plan.
